JOIN US IN CELEBRATION OF THE SOUTHWEST’S COLLABORATIVE PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS COMMUNITY!
On Saturday, August 12th, Guerrilla Photo Group presents the 17th ANNUAL COLLABORATIVE PHOTOGRAPHIC COMMUNITY GALA. We’re commemorating 17 years of free collaborative programming for Photographers, Models, MUAs, Hair Stylists and Fashion Designers of all skill levels. We’ll also be recognizing several champions in the broader community for their service and contributions. It’s a perfect opportunity for all of us to clink glasses, share good cheer, and celebrate the concept of Albuquerque’s collaborative art community (which we all hold so very dear,) learn about upcoming projects, partner, network, and…we’ve got a few other special items up our sleeves too!
Join us, won’t you?
The FREE TO ATTEND event will be held at Albuquerque Press Club. You are personally, very cordially invited to be our special guests. We’d be so delighted to have you and yours in attendance. Please RSVP. The APC has a substantial (but still limited) capacity. Be kind and respectful to our gracious hosts. 18+. Absolutely no outside beverages.
NEW WORK SHOWING: “Guerrilla”
Like guerilla warfare, Guerrilla Photography is not captured as part of a state-sponsored regime. Instead it’s a smaller, independent, and unconventional activity achieved by employing tactics that include the elements of surprise, disruption, and acting without authorization. This show is intended to highlight images captured in that sprit. The participating artists include a blend of people who have only just begun their photographic journey, as well as those who’ve been professionals for many decades… and everywhere in between.
Featuring images by: Alan Osterholtz, David Robinson, Keith Tolk, Mark Lies, Nate Bailey, Rip Williams, Shawna Cory and William Aranda.
5:30-6:30pm: Artist and Sponsor Reception
6:30-8:30pm: General Reception and Mixer
8:30-9:30pm: Awards Ceremony and Community Recognitions
9:00-midight: Frolicksome merriment!
DRESS CLODE:
Please dress to impress! But anything from cocktail attire to less…attire is acceptable! (Must be street legal, of course.)
PLEASE RSVP.
We can’t wait to see you there! 🙂
