Check it out. We do at least 24x free events every year!
We been doing “every Wednesday night” for 15 years, but we’re switching things up in 2021 to accommodate weekend schedules and larger get-togethers. All “First Monday” and Third Saturday” events are free. No RSVP is required… just c’mon down and join us! If you’re got a team put together, you can reserve your main studio time slot for free up to 60 days in advance. Check out the FAQ’s for (much) more information.
Upcoming Events
First Monday Mixer and Meetups
Occasional free lectures and special guests augment this standing “free studio playtime” event. Participants can team up ad-hoc to shoot, book slots ahead of time for specific concepts, or just hang out, spend time with one another, and watch others work.
Third Saturday Workshops & Shootouts
The classic larger-scale meetup, 12 times a year. This event is sometimes a field-trip, sometimes based out of the studio, and sometimes a combination of the two. We often host special guests for free workshops for a portion of these all-day get-togethers! We love to help bring your ideas to fruition by partnering with folks, supplying technical infrastructure, logistical guidance and volunteer-person power, to help execute.
Are you interested in mentoring? Do you have some expertise that you’d like to share with a presentation or workshop of your own? Got an idea of a workshop you wish would happen? Drop us a line!
Group Gallery Exhibitions
In addition to having amazing access to our partner, Strangeflock Gallery, we also work with other exhibition venues to curate, produce, and display group showings of the amazing work you all do at other GPG events! These shows often align with First Friday Art Crawls.
Seminars and Workshops
We work tirelessly with industry leaders, mentors, and educators to bring attendees top-quality educational programming. Often free, seminars regularly occur as part of other events (like First Monday Mixers.) Occasional paid workshops are also available. We’re not only passionate about attendees, but also about helping emerging educators bring their dreams to fruition.
