Q: How do I get involved in shoots?
A: Check in with the "GPG Moderator" of the evening. S/He will help you coordinate with photographers/models regarding time slots, shoots, and concepts. Use the member search, Facebook, etc if you'd like to set something up ahead of time!
Q: What should I bring?
A: YOUR KIT! You should definitely come prepared to participate in shoots. If you're just starting out, there are many resources online that can help you assemble a basic makeup/hair kit.
Q: Can I charge a "kit fee" etc?
A: Nope. Everyone at GPG works, teaches and learns for free. If you have a special setup that requires expensive items (say, hair extensions) you may coordinate with the photographer or model ahead of time regarding your materials cost.
Q: Sweet. I'm there. Where do I set up?
A: You can set up a station in several locations including upstairs in the coffee/futon area, office, lobby upstairs (blue) bathroom or occasionally the downstairs restroom.
Q: Do I get copies of the photos to use in my portfolio, on Facebook, etc?
A: Yep. Everyone involved (photogs, models, MUAs, stylists, designers,etc.) gets the photographer-selected images to use in their portfolios, etc.
